Our single-origin story

For those of us who don’t drink coffee, our options stepping up to order at a coffee shop can be dismal.

Coffee is off the table, non-herbal tea and matcha are a no-go. It’s either 8am or 3pm…do I want to down 30 grams of sugar in a powdered hot chocolate? Do I really want to pay $6 for frothed warm almond milk…again?

Further, choosing not to drink coffee means missing out on the global ritual that connects entire communities, reaches deep into cultural histories, and honors farmers along the supply chain who grow this novelty that fuels our daily worlds.

It’s a huge bummer.

We’re here to change that narrative. We’re introducing cacao to cafes.

Indonesia is the world’s third largest producer of cacao in the United States.

While Indonesian cacao is loved and heralded throughout Europe and Asia as a premium sourcing destination, outdated import bans spanning back to the 90s have made Indonesian cacao explicitly difficult to procure in the United States.

With the help of savvy partners, we’ve been able to source Ebier Suth Cokran’s award-winning cacao.

A love letter to Indonesia

I grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia.

I’m on a mission to bring some of Indonesia’s best elements, including the terroir of single-origin cacao sourced directly from the archipelago to Salt Lake.

From Indonesia to Salt Lake City to you.
